SafetyPay knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so, carefully and responsibly; practicing the highest standards of data protection and privacy.

For some services, we may either collect or transfer personal information to a service provider you have selected, or you may visit other merchants through links on our site who may collect and use your personal information. In those cases the third-party service provider or merchant's privacy policy will govern how your information is handled. We encourage you to ask questions and to be very cautious before you disclose your personal information to others.

1. Personal information we collect on our Web site

When you browse SafetyPay.com, personally identifiable information-such as your name, address, phone number, and e mail address-is not required. Only in certain cases (i.e. for customer service inquiries, newsletter sign-up or response to emails, may your email be collected. The following describes in detail the information we may collect:

  • Information You Give Us: We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing future shopping for you, improving our promotions site, and communicating with you.

  • E-mail Communications: To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from SafetyPay.com if your computer supports such capabilities. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. We will send you newsletters and e-mails periodically listing current promotions if you have enrolled. You may "opt-out," or unsubscribe from our newsletters, emails or personalized on-line advertisements by following any unsubscribe instructions in any e-mail, newsletter or personalized on-line advertisement you receive from us, or by sending an e-mail to optout@SAFTPAY.com.

    2. Does SafetyPay share the information it receives?


    SafetyPay is not in the business of selling the information we receive to others. We share customer information only as described below and with subsidiaries SafetyPay, Inc. controls that either are subject to this Privacy Notice or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.

  • Affiliated Businesses We Do Not Control: We work closely with our affiliated businesses. In some cases, such as Merchants, these businesses operate stores at SafetyPay.com or sell offerings to you at SafetyPay.com. In other cases, we operate promotional sites, provide services, or sell product lines jointly with these businesses. You can tell when a third party is involved in your transactions, and we share customer information related to those transactions with that third party.

  • Third-Party Service Providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

  • Promotional Offers: Sometimes we send offers to selected groups of SafetyPay customers on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do not give that business your email address.

  • Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might develop or buy, subsidiaries, or business units. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Notice (unless, of course, the customer consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that SafetyPay, or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets.

  • Protection of SafetyPay and Others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; obviously, however, this does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Notice.

  • With Your Consent: Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

    3. Who is collecting your information?

  • Ads That Link to Our Web Site: SafetyPay may hire other companies to place our banner ads on other Web sites and to perform tracking and reporting activities ("third-party advertisement servers"). They do not collect personally identifiable information in doing this work for us, and we do not give any personally identifiable information to them. Third-party advertisement servers are subject to their own privacy policies. If you would like more information about the privacy policies of these third-party advertisement servers, including information on how to opt out of their tracking methods, please contact us.

  • Website Analysis Agent: We may contract with online partners to help manage and optimize our Internet business and marketing. We use the services of marketing companies to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising/promotions and how visitors use our site. To do this, we use Action Tags and cookies provided by the marketing companies on this site. The type of information we collect includes things such as pages, information and advertisements viewed as well as what promotional items are placed in a shopping basket or purchased, the amount of a purchase, the product number and the quantity purchased. By supplementing our records, this information helps us learn things like what kinds of customers our site attracts, which of our products most interest our customers, and what kinds of offers our customers like to see. Although the marketing companies log the information coming from our site on our behalf, we control how that data may and may not be used.

  • Marketing Partners, Co-Branded Services: We may run promotions for merchants where you may have to visit the merchants' sites. In some of those promotions, a window or frame containing the merchant's site may appear. Any time you are in a window, you should assume that your personal information is being collected, used and disclosed in accordance with that merchant's policies. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information that you supply to those merchants. Any information that you share with them will be used and disclosed in accordance with that merchant's privacy policy. However, once you click on a return link to our site, you can expect that if you will be treated in accordance with this Policy.

    5. How secure is information about me?

    We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Safari, Netscape Navigator 3.0 or later, or Internet Explorer. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal information while it's transmitted over the Internet.
    You can help us by also taking precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet like changing your passwords often using a combination of letters and numbers, and making sure you use a secure web browser.
    We do not transfer any information when confirming an order or a payment; this information stays within the bounds of the provider of each service, the Merchant and the Bank.
    With SafetyPay your information is kept on password protected, limited access servers. Wherever possible and applicable, SafetyPay servers reside behind a corporate firewall that maintains controls on access to the system from both our internal network and the Internet as well as physical access.
    It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

    6. What options do I have?

  • How to Opt Out of E-mail Marketing Offers: You may "opt-out" or unsubscribe from receiving email offers or newsletters by sending us an email to optout@SAFTPAY.com. All email offers and newsletters sent to you by SafetyPay provide instructions on how to opt-out of receiving future email offers or newsletters. These instructions are located at the bottom of the email message. You may receive separate email offers or newsletters pertaining to different SafetyPay products and services. In that case, you must reply to and decline each one individually. If you opt-out, we will still send you information related to the SafetyPay products or services for which you are still enrolled.

  • Opt-out from third party service providers: If you agree to receive e-mails from any of our third party service providers or any third party merchants on our site, you will receive e-mails separately from them, and information that you choose to disclose to them will be subject to their privacy policy. If you later decide that you no longer want to receive their e-mails, you will need to follow their own specific opt-out instructions, as opting out to "optout@SAFTPAY.com" as described above will not opt you out of their promotional emails.

  • Ad-servers and other Content Servers: You may also set your browser so that it will not accept "cookies" to prevent assignment from the ad server of a unique identifier; however, you may experience difficulty using features on our site if you do so.

    7. How to correct, amend, or delete information provided to SafetyPay?

    The only Personally Identifiable Information that SafetyPay collects is your email address. This is done during the registration process in order for us to communicate with you. You may "opt-out," or unsubscribe from our newsletters, emails or personalized on-line advertisements by following any unsubscribe instructions in any e-mail, newsletter or personalized on-line advertisement you receive from us, or by sending an e-mail to optout@SAFTPAY.com.

    8. Are children under 13 allowed to use SafetyPay.com?

    We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, but because some information is collected electronically, it can appear to be the personal information of the user of SafetyPay web site users, and will be treated as such by this privacy policy. If a child under 13 submits personal information to SafetyPay and we learn that that personal information is the information of a child under 13, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible.

    As we said, SafetyPay takes protecting your privacy very seriously.
